Come Home follows the story of Andrew, a British solider.



After returning from Afghanistan and spending time in a military prison, he sets off on a personal journey, a string of consciousness, as his thoughts and problems flow through him, he is desperately trying to find someone to talk to or connect with.

I was inspired to make this film after seeing another short which was set along similar lines. I felt that this other films focus was far too narrow and its representation of soldiers as violent outcasts was morally repugnant and lazy film making.

I’m really happy with how many of the performances turned out, especially Erica Medley as the wife of Andrew.
